A well-established, physician-led gastroenterology practice located in Southern Maryland, just 20 minutes north of Washington, D.C. Founded in over 30 years ago, the practice has built a strong reputation for high-quality, patient-centered care and continues to experience growing referral demand across Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fully autonomous, office-based practice with no hospital obligations, strong ancillary revenue streams, and a clear pathway to partnership and long-term ownership.

Position Highlights

-100% outpatient, office-based practice
-Zero call – no nights, weekends, or inpatient responsibilities
-Monday–Friday schedule (8 am–5 pm) supporting true work-life balance
-Established and growing referral base – currently exceeding capacity
~25 new patients per week with strong demand across multiple locations
-Multiple clinic sites (Rockville, Silver Spring, Bowie) with flexibility in scheduling
-Immediate ASC access with available block time due to recent partner retirement
-In-house pathology is already implemented and profitable
-Independent anesthesia model in place and stable
-Partnership track with ownership opportunity in a physician-led practice
-Autonomous clinical practice (no private equity involvement in clinic operations)

Ideal Candidate Profile

-Board-certified/board-eligible in Gastroenterology
-3+ years of experience preferred
-Comfortable in a fully outpatient, clinic-based model
-Values efficiency, autonomy, and a predictable schedule
-Interest in long-term partnership and practice ownership

Practice Overview:

This practice is led by an experienced Gastroenterologist, who has intentionally built a highly efficient outpatient model focused on continuity of care and physician autonomy. The practice operates independently from hospital systems and maintains full control over clinical operations.

The group holds ownership stakes in two ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), providing reliable procedural access and additional revenue streams. A recent partner retirement has opened up additional procedure time, creating immediate upside for a new physician.

With referral volume steadily increasing, the practice is actively seeking a second gastroenterologist to help meet demand and expand access to care across the region. Plans to add a mid-level provider will follow the onboarding of this physician.
