Job description:
A hospital in Northern New England is seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to join their community. This high-compensation opportunity offers one office day and three dedicated days for endoscopic surgeries, serving a diverse patient population with a wide range of gastroenterological needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with patients to assess symptoms, review medical history, and determine appropriate care plans.
- Perform specialized diagnostic tests, including endoscopic and colonoscopic procedures.
- Analyze patient historical data and coordinate with primary care physicians.
- Collaborate with specialists, such as oncologists, for complex cases.
- Perform imaging-related evaluations, including X-rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scans.
- Conduct surgical interventions within the digestive tract when necessary.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach, ensuring compassionate and clear communication.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Completion of a three-year internal medicine residency.
- Completion of a three-year gastroenterology fellowship.
- Board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Expertise in endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
- Proficiency with imaging modalities (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound).
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
