We are seeking an Adult Intensivist for locum tenens ICU coverage in North Dakota. This is a night-shift opportunity with no call, providing coverage during a temporary staffing shortage.
Overview
- ICU only, 226-bed hospital
- 16 ICU beds, with an additional 8 beds available for PCU overflow
- Average census less than 13 patients
- Some patients are managed by hospitalists in open ICU
- Night Shift: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM
- Provider is not required to remain in-house
- The intensivist will provide overnight critical care coverage for ICU patients. Patient volume and procedures will vary based on patient complexity.
Procedural Skills
- Bronchoscopy
- Central line placement
- Thoracentesis
- Chest tube placement
- Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
- Comfortable managing adult ICU patients independently
- Must have experience with the required procedures listed above
